I am a grammar geek, word nerd, and writer. I became infected with the writing bug at an early age, and the only remedy I've yet discovered is to write, write, write. I earned a degree in journalism from Florida International University and worked as a newspaper reporter for many years, including at The Miami Herald. After taking a break from my career to raise three children, I was drawn to education and taught middle school grammar and composition for a decade.
I now work as a marketing coordinator for a city library.
When I am not writing, I enjoy gardening, indulging in dark chocolate, cuddling with my cats, diagramming tricky sentences, reading, tinkering with educational technology, collecting groan-worthy puns and dad jokes, and spending time with my family.
